What happened
In May 2025, State Life and JS Bank signed a bancassurance agreement: JS Bank's branch network now distributes State Life's insurance solutions, putting protection products in front of customers during ordinary banking visits. The signing was led by State Life Executive Director Shahid Iqbal Baloch and JS Bank COO Atif Malik.
The relationship deepened on the payments side: in January 2026, JS Bank and KuickPay enabled RAAST QR premium payments for State Life customers under the Prime Minister's cashless-economy initiative — making a premium as easy to pay as scanning a code.
What bancassurance changes for you
- Access — you can learn about and buy cover where you already bank, instead of finding an insurance office.
- Convenience — premium collection plugs into your banking relationship, now including RAAST QR.
- Reach — for the industry, bank branches extend insurance into towns agents rarely covered.
The Sidq Advisors take
More places to buy insurance is a good thing. One caution from our side of the desk: a bank counter sells what's on its shelf. An independent advisor's job is to compare across the full product range — plan versus plan, term versus term — before you sign anywhere.
Happily, you can have both: use our comparison first, then buy and pay through whichever channel suits you.
